An excellent Ancient Roman bronze coin of the famous Emperor, Constantine the Great, dating to approximately 309-337 A.D. The detailed, well struck coin with beautiful patina. The obverse of the coin depicts a fabulous portrait of the Emperor, who is shown facing right and wearing the laurel wreath. The Emperor is portrayed idealistically, with strong jaw, prominent features and closely cropped hair. The legend reads "CONSTANTINVS AVG". The reverse shows Victory advancing above bound captive, legend reading "SARMATIA DEVICTA" - "Sarmatia is conquered". A fabulous coin.
