ArtAncient in the Media & other news
Recent news featuring the company.
ArtAncient and its director were recently featured in the Financial Times, both online and print, regarding the investment potential of antiquities in the current financial climate. Although a fairly balanced article, we would like to remind readers of the importance of provenance in the collecting of antiquities so as to avoid some of the potential pitfalls mentioned.

October 2010 - Company director, Costas Paraskevaides, was interviewed for CNBC regarding antiquities as an alternative investment. The article features an interview with ourselves, one of our clients and a representative from Christies New York. The issue of provenance was also raised in the interview, although omitted from the final article - buyers should make sure they buy pieces with stated ownership history from reputable sources. ArtAncient also features in a separate article in a new area of interest to investors, legally excavated Shipwreck artifacts. We believe this is the first reference in a major news agency to the investment potential of Shipwreck ceramics. Again, buyers should look for evidence the piece has been legitimately excavated.

August 2010 - ArtAncient loans two well provenanced antiquities to Surgeons' hall museums in Edinburgh, for their forthcoming exhibition "skin deep". Please see the following link for details of the exhibition.
February 2010 - An artwork purchased from ArtAncient features in the forthcoming exhibition by Cypriot artist Haris Epaminonda at the Tate Modern. See the following link for details of the exhibition.
